INTERNATIONAL HIV/AIDS ALLIANCE - HEAD OF DONOR RELATIONS AND RESOURCE MOBILISATION
Established in 1993, the Alliance is a global partnership of nationally-based organisations working to support community action on AIDS. Based in Brighton, England, the Alliance had grown into the largest HIV/AIDS NGO working out of Europe.
The Alliance's rapid growth had stretched the organisations' fundraising capabilities. So, the decision was taken to create the new post of Head of Donor Relations and Resource Mobilisation .
Oxford HR was appointed to conduct the search for candidates for this position. To locate the best candidate for the role, during the search, the focus was on looking for international resource mobilisation professionals with prior experience of HIV/AIDS work in developing countries and working with major aid donors, in particular USAID. Oxford HR was able to assemble a short-list of experienced international resource mobilisation professionals, including the final candidate who had significant relevant experience in international public health and in managing relations with donor agencies.
